Pridružite nam se na putovanju kroz jedinstvena iskustva boravka na simuliranoj lunarnoj stanici, gdje je umjetnica Ivana Tkalčić sudjelovala u analognom astronautskom treningu u sklopu EuroMoonMars inicijative Europske svemirske agencije u sklopu projekta “Astronaut(i) bez svemirskog broda”. Ivana će s nama podijeliti iskustvo o tome kako je bilo živjeti i raditi na “svemirskoj stanici”, suočavati se s izazovima poput ograničenih resursa i izdržavanja u stresnim uvjetima, sve kroz perspektivu umjetnice koja istražuje motive svemirske utrke.

Drugi dio putovanja vodi nas na sjever Norveške, u regiju Finnmark, gdje je Tkalčić sudjelovala u umjetničkoj rezidenciji Hyperborealis. U predivnom, surovom krajoliku Arktičkog kruga, istraživala je vezu između čovjeka, prirode i vjetra, kao nastavak projekta "Astronaut(i) bez svemirskog broda". Kroz ovaj razgovor, podijelit će s nama priču o životu u ekstremnim uvjetima i umjetničkom radu inspiriranim tim iskustvima.

Događanja Travel nights u Prostoru namijenjena su svim ljubiteljima putovanja, ali i onima koje zanima upoznavanje drugih kultura, upoznavanje istomišljenika, razmjena znanja, savjeta i jednostavno druženje.

TRAVEL NIGHTS: Life on the lunar station and the Arctic Circle

Join us on a journey through the unique experiences of being on a simulated lunar station, where the artist Ivana Tkalčić participated in analog astronaut training as part of the EuroMoonMars initiative of the European Space Agency as part of the project "Astronaut(s) without a spaceship". Ivana will share with us the experience of what it was like to live and work on a "space station", facing challenges such as limited resources and surviving in stressful conditions, all through the perspective of an artist who explores the motives of the space race.

The second part of the trip will take us to the north of Norway, to the Finnmark region, where Tkalčić participated in the Hyperborealis art residency. In the beautiful, harsh landscape of the Arctic Circle, she explored the connection between man, nature and wind, as a continuation of the project "Astronaut(s) without a spaceship". Through this conversation, he will share with us the story of life in extreme conditions and artistic work inspired by these experiences.

Travel nights in Prostor are for all travel lovers but also for anyone interested in learning about other cultures, meeting like minded people, exchanging knowledge, tips and simply socialising.

It’s an informal storytelling event in which someone who travelled to an interesting place in the world tells its story - good things and the bad, amazing discoveries as well as challenges.
