Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds proudly presents Sascha Clark Danylchuk, Executive Director of Keep Fish Wet. She will be our guest speaker on May 13, live via Zoom, and will present science-based fish handling practices that every angler can use – just in time for the peak of our fishing season.

Sascha’s talk will offer clear, practical takeaways you can apply immediately on the water—from minimizing air exposure to understanding stress responses in fish. Whether you're new to fly fishing or a seasoned angler, her presentation will deepen your understanding of what it really means to release a fish responsibly.

ABOUT SASCHA CLARK DANYLCHUK

Sascha Clark Danylchuk is the Executive Director of Keep Fish Wet, a science-based nonprofit focused on improving the outcomes of catch-and-release fishing. With a background in marine biology, environmental policy, and a master’s degree in fisheries science, Sascha brings both academic expertise and real-world experience to her role.

Throughout her career, she has worked with conservation and education nonprofits to bridge the gap between science and on-the-water practices. Sascha is a widely respected voice in fish conservation and has written for organizations like the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Her popular “Finsights” blog series on the Orvis News site translates current fisheries research into practical guidance for anglers of all levels.
