April is Def Poetry Month and we’ve got a dope series for the fans!

Each Wednesday night, we'll be popping in a classic Def Poetry DVD for a social viewing. We’ll watch an episode together and you can just listen or write if you’re inspired. If you get thirsty, we’ll have wine & beers. And for food, Black Beans PVD will have snacks available. After the episode, a featured spoken word artist will share their work, giving a live poetry performance. We’ll do a quick Q+A and mingle at the end. This series is free & open to everyone. Please register so we can save you a seat. We’ll get started around 6pm and finish by 8pm.

Tonight, to kick off this series, we’ll be watching Def Poetry, Season 1 and Louie will be our special guest.

When he's not running poetry nights for The Daily Note, he's listening to Hip-Hop & R&B while writing love notes, binge watching random shows, and encouraging people to write their hearts out (however that may look at that moment and regaardless of where it may go.)
