Staten Island Chuck's Prediction Is In... EARLY SRPING!

Join us for the annual Groundhog Day Ceremony at the Staten Island Zoo featuring Staten Island Chuck—our world-famous groundhog! Will Chuck predict an early Spring or six more weeks of winter? There’s only one way to find out!

Event Highlights:

Chuck’s Prediction: At 8:30 AM, Chuck will make his highly anticipated forecast. Will he see his shadow?
Special Guests: Local elected officials, dignitaries, and Citizens representatives will be there to join in the fun!
School Participation: Local students, including those from Susan E. Wagner High School, will be involved in the ceremony and help track Chuck's prediction through the season.
New Emcees: Local theatre stars Cara S. Liander and James McKeon will host the event with plenty of fun and engaging puns.

Admission: FREE from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

Location: Staten Island Zoo - Both Broadway and Clove Rd. gates will be open starting at 7:30 AM.

The event kicks off at 8:00 AM, but get hereearly (7:30 AM) to grab your spot. This is a family-friendly event perfect for all ages!

Weather Science Fun: Students will also track the weather from February 2nd through March 20th to see if Chuck’s prediction comes true.
