Experience the thrill of fly fishing at two of Washington's premier trout destinations—Lenice Lake and Nunnally Lake. These productive waters are renowned for their large rainbow trout and are particularly popular among fly fishers.

In mid-March, both lakes are freshly stocked with thousands of rainbow trout, enhancing your chances of a successful catch. The cooler water temperatures during this period keep the trout active throughout the day.

Dry Camping and Hiking
Most club members will be dry camping near the trailheads, with hikes required to access both lakes. Be prepared for a short walk on well-defined paths to reach these beautiful fisheries. Bring all necessary supplies for camping, as amenities are limited in this remote area.

Seasonal Conditions and Weather

In mid-March, daytime highs average around 41°F and nighttime lows near 28°F. Winds are generally mild, ranging from 2 to 7 mph, predominantly from the northwest. These conditions are highly favorable for fly fishing, which is why we head this to spot about the same time each year.
