May Brisebois is teaching her STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN necklace at Bead Chroma! This is an intermediate/advanced workshop. If you register for this class, it will be assumed that you have read and understood all of the below information AND that you are of an appropriate skill-level to take this workshop. Please note: as this is a WINTER WORKSHOP, a snow date has been selected in the event of unsafe weather as determined by both Leah and the workshop's instructor. Please reference the main date AND the snow date and keep them both on your calendar in case the snow date is needed.

PROJECT:

Stairway to Heaven - necklace

Utilize tried-and-true beadweaving techniques combined with innovative construction to create your very own crystal statement necklace! Please see multiple images showing available colorways. Leah has also taken some pictures with the necklace on so you can see how truly WEARABLE this stunning piece really is!

DATE:

• Sunday January 5th, 2025

Snow date: Sunday February 2nd, 2025

TIME:

Class begins at 10:00am and runs until 4:00pm, with a 30min break for lunch at an appropriate time designated by the instructor.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get situated and so class can begin promptly.

(The shop will be open 9:00am to 5:00pm on the day of class.)

SKILL LEVEL:

This workshop is designed for beaders who are at least at an intermediate level. It assumes a reasonable foundation of bead weaving techniques and some experience with intricate designs. Techniques utilized will be: Odd-Count Peyote stitch, Right Angle Weave (RAW), Cubic Right Angle Weave (CRAW), and Netting. A pre-requisite for this workshop is to be familiar / comfortable with these stitches so that your focus can be more on contruction while in class. --- If you need a brush up, reach out! Leah can suggest some good videos or give you a refresher class to get you prepped!

There will be 3 colorways available. (see images)

FEES:

The class fee will be $75 per person.

Total COST to register for this class: $165 - $175, depending on kit chosen.

• 6 lb Fireline OR OneG beading thread

• Size #12 and #13 Beading needles

• Scissors

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Once registered (ie. paid), students cancelling for this class more than 14 days in advance of the original workshop date will be given a 100% refund for the class fee ($75). You will still be responsible for the kit that was created for you and it will not be able to be refunded.

• If cancelling within 7 days of your class date, you will be refunded 50% ($37.50) of your class fee since a seat was held for you and wasn't able to be offered to someone else in a reasonable amount of time. You will still be responsible for your kit as well, as mentioned above.

• Those cancelling within 48 hours of this classes original workshop date, or who fail to show up for this class, forfeit their class fee entirely and will still be responsible for the kit that was created for them.

***IMPORTANT: For anyone who isn't local and plans on booking flight and/or hotel accommodations for this (or any) workshop at Bead Chroma, please note that you do so at your own monetary risk: neither Bead Chroma / Leah Wyckoff nor the workshop's instructor will be held responsible for any lost monies due to a snow-date needing to be utilized, or sudden cancellation/postponement due to sickness.
